About TryMermaid
TryMermaid is an online editor for Mermaid diagrams, made by Try Mermaid LLC. It lets you build a diagram by dragging shapes on a canvas or by writing Mermaid code, and it keeps the two in sync.
Why we built it
Mermaid describes diagrams as text, so they can live next to your code, be reviewed in pull requests and render in tools like GitHub. But text isn't always the fastest way to think: moving a box is often quicker than working out the syntax. TryMermaid lets you use whichever is faster at the moment, sketching on the canvas and fine-tuning in code, without ending up with two versions of the same diagram.
What you can do with TryMermaid
- Edit flowcharts on a drag-and-drop canvas, with every change written back to Mermaid code.
- Write any Mermaid diagram type, including sequence, class, ER, state, mind map, Gantt and timeline diagrams, with a live preview.
- Export PNG at a custom width or height, export SVG, or copy the image to your clipboard.
- Share a link that opens an exact copy of your diagram, or embed a live diagram in a web page.
- Save diagrams to a free account and reopen them on any device.
How it's built
TryMermaid is built on Mermaid.js and on the open-source Mermaid Live Editor, both released under the MIT license. We're grateful to their maintainers and contributors. TryMermaid is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Mermaid project or Mermaid Chart.
